True drop-in replacements for a Gibson Les Paul Special

I recently acquired a 2021 Gibson Les Paul Special from a friend. I like this guitar a lot both for its looks and the sound of the P-90 pickups. Apparently, for "vintage accuracy" reasons, Gibson supplies the guitar with the original style 'white oval' button tuners. I however wanted locking tuners so thus began my search for drop-in replacement tuners that also lock.

Turns out that there aren't very many of them that are true drop-in replacements. (In fact, the Revolution locking tuners were the only true drop-in replacements that I found.) To be clear, I wanted locking tuners that looked like typical Gibson tuners, so the greenish tulip style buttons were fine for me i.e. I wasn't looking to retain the 'white oval' button look even though that would have been a nice touch had they been available. Also, by drop in replacement I wanted the screw holes in the back to line up perfectly as well as have the string post diameter be identical with the same look as the OEM tuners. Turns out that the Kluson Revolution Series G-Mount (the style with the collars) were perfect for my LP Special. It took less than an hour to switch out the tuners, which I did one at a time so that I could keep tension on the neck. As a bonus, I was able to reuse my strings since the locking tuners don't require as much string length beyond the tuner. (My desire to retain the strings was motivated by the fact that I had restrung the guitar with 9's just a few weeks earlier.) The one thing that I noticed about the Revolutions is that the string post is a tad shorter than the OEM tuners, which you may be able to judge from the before and after photos. The OEM tuners measure about 0.93" from the backside mating surface to the middle of the string hole whereas the Revolution tuners measure about 0.85". This difference is not objectionable as there is still plenty of clearance from the string hole to the top surface of the headstock and it slightly increases the string break angle from the nut.
