Available for download, iZotope RX 9 Advanced is the latest update to their audio-repair software, which is considered a staple within the recording, mastering, audio-for-video, and postproduction communities. The software can operate either as a standalone application or a plug-in for both Mac- and Windows-based DAWs and NLEs. From fixing common audio problems like noises, distortions, and inconsistent recordings, to repairing severely damaged audio using Spectral Repair, the software can transform previously unusable audio into something usable.
The advanced edition of RX 9 offers many new and updated modules and algorithms including Dynamic De-hum, Dialogue Isolate, Ambience Match, Spectral Editor, Restore Selection, and an Expandable History List.
The dynamic mode in De-hum instantly removes any amount of hum, interference, or wireless ring without artifacts or affecting the audio quality. In one pass, eliminate radio and transmitter interference, and camera and generator hum. In static mode, you can target hum with a fundamental hum frequency plus 16 harmonic bands above it, while dynamic mode allows you to learn and remove any amount of hum with up to 1024 dynamically variable notch filters.
Extract clean dialogue from its environment without artifacts using the new algorithm, Dialogue Isolate. This module features improved ambience preservation, leaving a more natural sounding dialogue, even when noise reduction is pushed to drastic levels.
The updated complex mode in Ambience Match allows you to seamlessly connect dialogue and ADR cuts with real background movement and textures. Quickly match ambiences never before possible, such as wind, ocean, crowds, traffic, and more.
For Logic users, The Spectral Editor allows you to clean up unwanted sounds directly within Logic without having to toggle between the RX Audio Editor and Logic Pro. It combines RX Spectral Repair, RX's spectrogram, and RX interactive tools that enable engineers and producers to identify and eliminate unwanted noises, from within Logic Pro.
Restore History allows you to roll back any audio selection to a previous step in your History list to get the best combination of audio processing form any point in time. This allows you to select a point in history for only the current selection. The History list has been expanded to 30 undo steps for quick reference.
All previous modules are in place for RX 9 including the Repair Assistant, multichannel support, high-quality resampling, dithering, and the rest of RX's classic features. As always, RX 9 can be used as a standalone audio editor (including standalone but connected to your host via RX Connect, or as your DAW's audio editor in the case of Logic Pro), although much of it can be used as a suite of plug-ins in any DAW.

Great product, high quality customer service
I’m a post-processing engineer working in my home office almost exclusively with iZotope and Cubase products. I have previous version of iZotope RX (7 to be more specific), so I decided to update to the latest version, because I needed some of the new features which were not available in the one I already own. iZotope RX is a post-processing utility that actually has no alternative. Some of it’s features are overlapping with Cubase Spectralayers Pro, but if one relies on automating their post-processing environment RX is a must-have. Initially there was a little delay in receiving the product I paid for, but thanks to Capital Music Gear’s customer service the problem was quickly solved. I could highly recommend their products and services and would like to work with them again.
