Bahia Bass drumhead is featured on Remo's 12" & 14" tan tan and 16" surdo drums and is ideal for producing the lowest bass tones without having to lug around a large drum.The Bahia Bass drumhead is made with a 5 mil bottom layer of clear Mylar film and a top layer of a black naugahyde, simulated leather (vinyl) material.This combination produces a very lower bass tone which dramatically eliminates most overtones. Available in various sizes and fits most major brands for pandeiros, tan tans, and surdo drums. You should try it on a 14" or 16" floor tom if you want an add punch.The vinyl surface is of simulated leather. The qualities feature lower bass tone and less attack from the batter head which will produce a softer sound when played with a drum stick.These are not traditional bass drum heads.
