Super sweet 7 string classical!

I’ve had the Ortega RCE159-8 for many years now and was curious about one of these 7 strings. Happy I pulled the trigger on one and for the price, it’s hard to beat the specs offered here on a well designed 7

The satin finish is super smooth and comfortable to play on, and tonally the guitar is well rounded and carries the low B well with the stock strings. I intend to experiment more with strings and tunings between A, B, and C

The main critique I could give is for the setup, which I did adjust a bit upon unboxing. The bridge action and nut height were quite high which seemed to offset the intonation a bit. Some measuring and a bit of sanding and I have it down to a more standard classical setup. (About 3mm-3.8mm 12th fret height from 1st to 7th now)

Electronics are solid and every string is well represented. The 3 band EQ and phase switch give some cool tweaking options and the built in tuner is very nice looking and easy to read. The included gig bag is a great edition too and well padded.

Would definitely recommend it if you’re looking for an affordable classical 7, and would just advise to possibly be ready to set it up or have the setup looked over by a tech
