This version of Kevin Volans' Matepe was commissioned by CALEFAX Reed Quintet, Amsterdam, The Netherlands. The world premiere took place on 11 October 2014 at De Doelen, Jurriaanse Zaal, Rotterdam, given by CALEFAX Reed Quintet.
